At Crumbles Bakeshoppe, we want your cookies to arrive as beautiful and fresh as they are when they leave our studio. Because we are shipping delicate, handcrafted art, we have established the following protocols to ensure the best possible experience.

1. Fulfillment & Lead Times

• Made-to-Order: We are a small-batch studio. Most custom orders require a 2-week lead time before shipping.

• Shipment Dates: We typically ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure your cookies don't sit in a shipping warehouse over a weekend.

• Tracking: Once your order is scanned by the carrier, you will receive an automated email with a tracking number so you can follow the journey to your doorstep.

 

2. Shipping Methods & Rates

• Carrier: We ship nationwide (48 contiguous states) via UPS and FedEx.

• Rates: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of the order and the destination zip code.

• Expedited Shipping: We highly recommend selecting 2-Day or Overnight shipping for custom sugar cookies to minimize the time spent in transit and reduce the risk of breakage.

 

3. Our "Fortified Packaging" Process

• We take extreme pride in our packaging engineering. Cookies are:

  • Heat-sealed for maximum freshness.

  • Shred and or bubble-wrapped to create a protective "cushion."

  • Double-boxed or padded with high-grade eco-friendly materials to prevent shifting during transit.

 

4. Delivery & Carrier Liability

• No Signature Required: To ensure your cookies aren't returned to a cold/hot warehouse, we ship with "No Signature Required." Please ensure someone is available to bring the package inside as soon as it is delivered.

• Carrier Delays: While we guarantee the date your order leaves our studio, Crumbles Bakeshoppe is not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather, mechanical issues, or high-volume seasons (e.g., December).

• Breakage: We do our absolute best to protect your cookies; however, once they leave our hands, we cannot control how the carrier handles the box. Crumbles Bakeshoppe is not liable for minor breakage (chips or cracked icing).

 

5. Incorrect Addresses

• Please double-check your shipping address at checkout! We ship strictly to the address provided. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, the order is forfeited without a refund, as the cookies will no longer meet our freshness standards for re-shipment.

 

6. Warm Weather Shipping

• During summer months or when shipping to warm climates, we may include complimentary cooling packs. However, we cannot guarantee against melting if a package is left on a porch in direct sunlight. Please track your package closely!
